Bali -- Eat, Pray, Love (Part1)

Though I'm always wanderlusting, but this getaway I'm really been awaiting for the longest time, did not happen the way it should be, with some hiccups but the serenity of Nusa Dua Bali certainly makes me feel like going back anytime soon.

Nusa Dua area is at the southern tip of Bali, a secure guarded tourist enclave, i was staying at Westin Hotel, there are security guards at the beach too. Though touters often come to ask if you want to buy souveniers, seashells, batiks, but they are rather friendly and i think they are all registered as they do have numbers on their uniform. Sand is rather clean and white but not really as smooth as Bondi...Am i expecting too much?
Reconnecting to nature, chill, relax

Had a daytrip to temples at Uluwatu, not as impressed as I have read, had a question why no one was praying ...haha. But there is a unique culture, need to put on a sarong before going into the temple.

Our tour guide Alvin brought us next to a coffee plantation, here we saw how the coffee beans were fried then grind into powder. The owner also presented us with a tray of different types of tea and coffees eg ginseng coffee, ginger tea, mangosteen tea etc for sampling. And of course, they are then selling the coffee powder at premium price. i just bought a packet of coconut coffee powder at USD 15 and Lavender incense sticks at USD 4.

Our Sunset Seafood dinner at Jimbarang Beach, not cheap but in fact overpriced as I will expect cheaper price in Indonesia. This meal cost us a whopping IDR 920,000!!! But it really taste very good. Having said that, do try the IDR10,000 bbq corn that was sold on the beach

(can be seen in the above picture). The yummiest corn i ever had in my life, have in 2 flavours Butter or spicy. Really regretted not buying more as I'm too full from seafood dinner. When I'm back in Singapore, i tried to bbq the same way with 5 spices powder and salt, sadly, i canbot achieve the same taste :( frown frown...

Beautiful Sunset @ Jimbaran Beach

IDR920,000 (that is like SGD 100?)
